A Family Business
Dave and Jackie Bos of BOS Wine
Hi, I'm Dave!
After graduating from Hope College Dave worked at upscale restaurants in Chicago where he was brought into wine buying. From there he moved quickly from Chateau Grand Traverse Winery in Traverse City, MI to Napa, CA. He became the vineyard manager for 9 years for one of the most highly respected vineyards in Napa Valley, Grgich Hills. In this position, he became an expert in biodynamic farming as he led the charge in turning all 367 acres into certified biodynamic vineyards. Also during Dave’s tenure with Grgich Hills, he was asked to travel around the country to speak on biodynamic farming and sell wine. This experience allowed him to establish key personal relationships that continue to this day with vineyard owners, winemakers, restaurant owners, and industry experts.
While at Grgich, Dave started a consulting and composting business in 2008 and went out on his own fully in 2013 to help others realize the full potential of their vineyards and the quality it can produce. It is from these vineyards that Dave and Jackie were able to start their own boutique wine label, BOS wine.
Hi, I'm Jackie!
After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BS in Landscape Architecture and a concentration in graphic design Jackie took a job with a landscape architecture firm in Napa. In her 10-year career at the firm she quickly moved up to Senior Project Manager. In this position she was both a designer and led teams on high-end projects from concept through construction such as The Westin hotel in Napa, Napa Square, complex podium projects and projects as far away as China while working on large-scale golf course community projects.
Jackie also left her job in 2013 to help with building the business while raising a young family. Jackie plays a pivotal role in bringing her project management and design skills, as well as her attention to detail into everything that the business strives to accomplish.
