After graduating from Hope College Dave worked at upscale restaurants in Chicago where he was brought into wine buying. From there he moved quickly from Chateau Grand Traverse Winery in Traverse City, MI to Napa, CA. and became the vineyard manager for 9 years for one of the most highly respected vineyards in Napa Valley, Grgich Hills. In this position, he became an expert in biodynamic farming as he led the charge in turning all 367 acres into certified biodynamic vineyards.
Realizing a unique opportunity in growing wine regions outside of California, Dave and his wife Jackie returned to the Traverse city wine region to go after their dream of opening a farm-focused tasting room and to be a leader for quality farming in a younger region.
It is here that BOS Wine will share wines from both California and Michigan that have a focus on organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards.
